JOB TITLE: General Ledger Manager (Japanese Skills) Location: Dalian
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB To lead and develop the General Ledger operation to ensure Maintenance of General Ledger Financial reporting, both periodic and ad hoc Coordination of tasks by Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury
Responsibilities/Authorities
Develop a robust, motivated and energetic operation Ensure that service provision meets KPIs Release prepayments Ensure payroll journal is posted correctly Control of inter-company reconciliation process Actively seek and develop improvement opportunities in co-operation with the CIP team Support the Service Management team in service reporting as appropriate Develop and maintain appropriate client/customer relationships consistent with the Customer Relationship Framework Identify and pursue opportunities to increase the scope of the Units services Perform goal setting for direct reports and complete ACSs and PDPs in line with the People Matters schedule
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. micro skills, external contacts, etc.):
PC/MS office is essential and ERP literacy is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be effective with Client staff, Unit Management, direct reports and team members Language ability in the following languages –Japanese, English, Chinese
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Good interpersonal skills Management and team building skills Sound understanding of Accounts Payable practices and processes MS Office practical knowledge Clear communicator, both written and oral
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY
Proven experience in a similar role Accounting qualification University degree – subject not important
EXPERIENCE
Several years experience managing teams in a finance environment including Leading and developing successful teams Performance reporting Problem solving Managing multiple priorities Understanding the impact of decisions and actions
