Requirements: 1.Dev experience in a windows platform environment 2.Strong dev and test background preferred, with test automation tool writing experience preferred 3.Strong dev is okay, along with no test experience, but must be able to understand a bit about General test process and understanding what a test automation approach is, is important 4.Skills must be flexible and should be ready to take a challenge 5.2-5+ years of professional experience with a strong education 6.Spoken English is very important for the first few candidates for SDET as they will be lead type candidates 7.SQL skills could be a strong benefit, executing a service hitting the database is the key point, understanding testing a database or database performance is strongly preferred. (this is a secondary requirement) 8.Mobile experience and mobile handset development is not important,Understanding mobile services on the backend side is very useful.
Daily Work: 1.Write C# or C++ code 2.Interact with various services: they will be building a number of services such as windows services, web services, and code that interacts with other web services and/or databases or exe's running as services 3.Build to tools to test for stress, act as syncs, mimic an environment 4.VSTT 2005 (team tester 2005) will be used to write a basic framework based on the test component of vstt.
