Position 1:SQE Supervisor (Japanese Speaking) Roles and responsibilities: To lead the SQE team in managing suppliers, developing and driving suppliers for continue improvement; Executes supplier quality objectives consistent with product requirements and workcell plans; Lead SQE team, takes proactive actions to protect workcells from supplier issues and works on objectives goals; Monitors trends in quality data to identify continual improvement opportunities;
General requirements: Engineering (BSEE or BSME) or technical degree, 5yrs or above experience in Japanese Company, understand the Japanese company creeds profoundly; Demonstrated skills to include strong written and oral communication, leadership, process development, administration and change management; Breadth in Quality systems knowledge, process control and statistical methodologies; Ability to lead and motivate people – good team player; Ability to analyze data, drive root cause using analytical and/or statistical tools; Can speak English fluently, Japanese speaking is preferred;
Position2: Regional Supplier Quality Engineers Custom Mechanical Commodity 1. Supplier Development a.Develop, execute and maintain the Supplier Audit Plan. Recommend supplier selection, development and de-selection strategies based on overall supplier performance. b.From the foundations laid via the audit process, develop and execute specific action plans for developing suppliers to fully qualified status. c.Engage with supply chain regionally, install metrics and improvement goals. d.Install and drive Continuous Improvement Programs to improve robustness of corrective actions and elimination of waste e.Publish Metrics and feedback on supplier performance for (Quarterly) Business Reviews f.Advise where Supplier Program Management resource should be deployed g.Create the quality blueprint for supplier development plan.
2. People Development a.Engage and develop workcell SQE’s to perform maintenance SQE tasks with supply chain. b.Drive Supplier Action Plans via workcell SQE’s. c.Agree and implement inspection plans and checklists with workcell SQE’s.
3. Toolsets a.Take toolset initiatives from Global Supplier Development Director and deploy ** Toolsets across supply chain b.Drive metrics and improvements via toolsets c.Feedback and recommend improvements to Audit, Assessment, SPS and other toolsets.
4. Tool Qualifications a.Work with Tooling Engineers to specify tool qualification process and relevant toolsets to be deployed. b.Liaise with JTS on approvals / reworking of ISR’s and PPAPS.
