Reports toDirector of Operations-Xx Hannibal, U.S.

Location :Shanghai

Principal Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager, Xx Shanghai is responsible for the following:

-Provide outstanding leadership and support for the company's vision. Execute the growth strategies that will lead to profitable growth.
-Responsible for the overall execution of business strategies within the Shanghai facility.
-Ensure local leadership team communications, coordination, collaboration and commitment to business unit and team excellence.
-Ensure local leadership fully utilizes Xx's various support systems.
-Ensure that Xx's values and related management policies, procedures and practices are strongly supported and implemented within the Shanghai facility.
-Ensure that Continuous Operations Improvement (COI) and Lean methodologies are aggressively pursued within the facility.
-Establish, communicate and execute goals, objectives and policies in support of Xx strategies.
-Build leadership and technical bench strength; ensure development plans exist and are executed.

Education:
-Bachelor degree in technical/business discipline required; graduate education in a business or technical discipline preferred.
-A minimum of 8-10 years of manufacturing operations and leadership experience

Personal Skills/Attributes/Qualifications:

-Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a rational, systematic and logical manner
-Capable of demonstrating a forward-looking perspective in motivating, inspiring and managing people.
-Ability to create and/or foster an environment that is conducive to teamwork and demonstrates a genuine concern for the personal development of team's members.
-Chinese language proficiency preferred and ability to interact well with all organization levels.
-Good understanding and experience in effectively utilizing Lean principles, tools and techniques
-Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies in China preferred

Purpose of Position:



Duties & Responsibilities:

-Set, maintain and manage high standards of operations
-Develop manufacturing objectives consistent with existing sales, projected sales forecasts and inventory requirements
-Review reports on manufacturing activities, performance and results and initiates corrective actions relating to delayed schedules, excessive costs, material shortages and other deterrent factors
-Plan and direct manufacturing layout, work flow, assembly methods, equipment and work-force utilization to achieve production and service goals defined by top management
-Manage and oversee plant day-to-day product manufacturing process
-Manage and train junior managers and a team of production staff
-Coordinate with other function managers in planning and implementing manufacturing programs for operation
-Keep a good working atmosphere in his department and that all staff are always following all regulations set up by the company or by customers in which area he is working


Qualifications / Capabilities:

-Bachelor Degree of mechanical/machinery/engineering /operation management, or higher in related fields
-Over 8 years of operation related experience, at least 5 year's management experience
-Strong leadership capabilities
-Fluency in written / spoken English and Chinese
-Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication and influencing; conflict resolution
