Job description: Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the primary function of this role is to assist in the efficient management of the HR Department and effectively support employees within all Divisions of the company. Particular responsibility is for a generalist/operational HR service provider, working in context of the business and within budget.
Responsibilities: Provide consultation to other members of management and employees in relation to HR practices and policies and establish and maintain the function of the HR team in context of legal implications and commercial enhancement. Develop and maintain effective employee relations and performance review programmes, assuring appropriate handling of employee issues and concerns. Ensure turnover goals are established and continued efforts are made to achieve such goals through development of retention programmes and other means. Ensure initiatives consider and align with compensation policies and other aspects that may be implicated by new programmes. Establish and maintain strong communication channels with colleagues and internal clients, ensuring the same inter-department. Ensure the HR Director is made aware of any serious issues or pending problems that indirectly or directly affects your decisions and your role. Identify training and development needs across the business, prioritising those related to business requirements. Understand technical and soft-skills requirements and assess if and how they may be managed internally and those that would benefit from external courses. Ensure comprehensive investigation and sourcing of Third Party Suppliers (ie: training companies). Formally review performance of suppliers and implement a Preferred Supplier status. Ensure compliance with affirmative action, equal employment opportunity and other legal obligations. Understand the business of the client, to conduct the role as pro-actively and pre-emptively as possible.
Required key skills and experience: A background of experience within the IT or Telecommunications environment would be preferable. . Five years of related experience, with the potential to manage staff. This role may be suitable for an individual ready to progress to an HR Management function. Ability to work in a commercial manner and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment Generalist experience is essential and/or specialist knowledge of training and development In-depth knowledge of Human Resources disciplines and knowledge of employment law are required. Fluent in English and German Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business or Human Resources or additional equivalent experience required.
